On December 14th, 2012, St. Paul High School had their annual Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas coronation. The nominees were Bria Maples, Carly Newberry, Kira Carlson, Brayden Beachner, Jake O’Brien, and Justin Winter.
To determine the nominees, the student council of St. Paul High School held a secret ballot with each member nominating one eligible senior male, and one eligible senior girl. The top three names with the most nominations are then chosen and voted on by the student body.
The Miss Merry Christmas title went to Carly Newberry. Carly told us she was honored that the student body had chosen her to be Miss Merry Christmas. She also said that participating in this event was loads of fun.
The Mr. Merry Christmas title went to Brayden Beachner. Brayden has told us that it felt good to receive the title because it was nice to be recognized by his friends and classmates. He also said he enjoyed participating in this event because it was a new experience.
