Hepler Hustlers 4-H Club has been involved in many activities in recent months, according to Kord Curran, club reporter.

In July the club held a cake auction at the Hepler Fourth of July Rodeo. Members sold trash bags and meat sticks.

The club entered a booth in the Crawford County Fair and received reserve grand champion, and also entered a hat made of duct tape that receive grand champion. The club was well represented with fair entries, and members said they enjoyed getting to know other 4-H kids at the fair. Some members entered their projects in the Kansas State Fair.

Officer elections were held in September. New officers are: Kenzie Curran, president; Molli Harris, vice president; Latricia Pike, secretary; Shalina Harper, treasurer; Kord Curran, reporter; and Kreed Curran, parliamentarian.

The club had a hayrack ride and spook trail for Halloween.

Club achievement banquet was held in November with family and friends attending. An auction of items donated by member families took place.

In December club members delivered cookies and fruit to the elderly in Hepler, Brazilton and Girard.

In February the club will do a group skit at County 4-H Club Day. Members will also have individual entries in music, talent and talks. The club will observe 4-H Sunday by attending a member’s church as a group.

“As we continue to explore new projects and expand our leadership skills, we are once again planning for the county fair,” Curran, the club reporter, said. “As always, our 4-H motto is ‘To make the best, better.’”
