Dear Editor
In the spirit of Jonathan Swift’s 1729 proposal that the Irish eat their own children, the NRA should propose arming all children at age three...after appropriate training in firearms, of course. The training could/should begin with popguns and work up to AK-47’s. We have seen how it can work in Africa Why not in American classrooms?
NRA spokes-people have come up short with the mantra “The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
They should point out that toddlers can also exercise lethal force...with training and encouragement, of course.
Hollywood and commercial TV networks already provide encouragement...bloody bucketsful.
