Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Owen Wilson, Wanda Sykes and Britney Spears performed Wednesday night in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom, Pittsburg State University.

They were all rolled into the mind and voice box of comedian/voice impressionist Melissa Villasenor. Also in there were Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Rihanna and Michael Jackson.

“Did any of you see me on ‘America’s Got Talent?'” the Los Angeles comic asked the capacity audience. “If you didn’t, it’s cool. I never watched it before either.”

Villasenor assured the audience that she was speaking to them in her genuine voice, even if it was a little high-pitched and sounded something like Mickey Mouse.

“I’m not the girl with the sexy voice that you’d strangle in a shower,” she said. “The killer would hear me and just give up.”

She also claimed to be prim and somewhat clueless.

“I’m such a granny,” Villasenor said. “A guy asked me to send him a naked photo and I sent him a photo of my cat. She doesn’t wear any clothes.”

After the show, she posed for pictures with most of the audience.

“These guys were really fun, seriously the best,” Villasenor said later at a brief press conference. “The room was real nice, too. I liked the stage.”

She said that she discovered her knack for doing impressions when she was 12 and tried to sound like Britney Spears.

“I first found out I could do that, and then started working on developing others,” she said.
Villasenor said that she writes all of her material, which is pretty much rated PG.

“I write everything I do, and rewrite it,” she said. “It’s quite a journey being a stand-up comedian.”

Villasenor admits it can also be a challenge, but one she’s more than willing to take.

“Shows like this are a beautiful thing,” she said. “The more you do it, the more you love it.”

The comic hopes to do more late-night shows, and one of her goals is to make it onto “Saturday Night Live.”

“I auditioned for it a few years ago, but it wasn’t my time,” Villasenor said. “I plan to audition for it again.”

She’d also like to try dramatic acting and is working on writing a book of short stories. Villasenor also likes to draw, and is thinking about doing a cartoon.

“I’m the one who creates these goals, and no one else can do them for me,” she said.
