On Thursday, March 8th, the students in the Advanced Biology, Physics, and Physical Science classes attended Science Days at Pittsburg State University. St. Paul took 38 students and, along with 19 other schools, participated in many events including multiple written tests, seismic shaker towers, and mouse trap cars.
Freshmen Caden Kendall and Tessa Norris placed second with their seismic tower and freshmen Tyler Stein and Makayla Pinkerton placed third. Overall as a school, St. Paul placed fourth in the Earth Science division. “It was fun and a great learning experience for me and my classmates,” said freshman Tyler Stein.
The students also got the opportunity to tour a cadaver lab and see a dissection of a human body. “Seeing what we were able to see was great. It is something that was very interesting and I'm thankful I got the chance,” said junior Bethany Paulie.
Overall the students had a good time and were glad they got the chance to experience the things they did. Thank you, PSU, for the opportunity.
