Kiwanis Club

Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Program will be presented by Patty Nicholas, local musician.
Joe Beauchamp will serve as cashier. Rick Hudson will be greeter and give the invocation.

USD 248 Board

GIRARD — Girard USD 248 Board of Education will have a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the board of education office.

School skate

Westside Elementary, Meadowlark Elementary and Lakeside Elementary Schools will have a school skate from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.

Senior exercise

Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin, will offer a free senior exercise class at 8:30 a.m.

Sponsored by Girard Medical Center, the session offers simple movements and stretching to help with upper and lower body strength, cardiovascular and overall health. Instructor is Beth Simpson. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.

TOPS KS 0884

TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.

Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a nonprofit organization. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-724-4342 or 1-800-932-8677, or visit www.tops.org.

Frontenac bingo

Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

TOPS KS 1120 Pittsburg will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library.

Mission of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is to support members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly. The organization offers an Exchange program with no special foods to buy and weekly private weigh-in. Annual membership is $28 for adults 18 and older. Children aged 7 to 17 and spouses of members may join at half price. The first visit is free. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-235-1790.

Columbus dance

COLUMBUS — A dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday at the Cherokee County Hospitality Center, 516 N. Kansas, Columbus.
