Several area students were among those inducted recently into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Labette Community College.
Students are invited to join this international honor society for two-year colleges if they have completed 12 hours and earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average. The society provides activities and services based on their four hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.
Local students inducted include: Deborah Cancinos-Gilliam, Hope Harmon and Brandee Main, Pittsburg; Emily Sebade, Frontenac; Jana Edwards and Keri Thompson, Girard; Kaytlyn Lewis, Cherokee; and Ambeur Meyer, Weir.
