The Crawford County Fair Association is now taking applications for the second Market on the Midway, slated from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds east of Girard on Kansas Highway 47.
Needed are crafters from the region, independent sales representatives, new product lines, persons wanting to hold a garage sale and those with flea market booths.
“We’ve been asked several times about hosting a craft show or similar type event,” said Kari West of the CCFA Market on the Midway Committee. “Our first time to try it was 2012, and we felt it was worth doing again. Our region has so many talented people who offer a variety of handmade items, just in time for graduation and Mother’s Day gifts.”
All booth spaces are 10-by-10 feet and are available on a first come, first serve basis. All outdoor spaces will be $10 each. There are spaces under the livestock pavilion for $20. Electricity will be available for an additional $15 per booth.
The Crawford County Fair Association will provide space and advertising for the space rental.
Market on the Midway is a fundraiser for the Crawford County Fair Association, with proceeds used to help make improvements to the fairgrounds.
