Charles S. “Chuck” Pope has been nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate to be appointed as a Foreign Service Officer of Class Three, Consular Officer and Secretary in the Diplomatic Service of the United States of America. He has recently been assigned as the US Agency for International Development’s Director of the Office of Acquisition and Assistance in Tanzania where he will oversee a procurement portfolio in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Pope is a former resident of Walnut and a graduate of Girard High School and Baylor University.
