Florence Sharp, 87 of Pittsburg died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday September 3, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Pittsburg following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 17th 1920 in Split Log, Mo., the daughter of William and Frances West.  She was raised in the Arcadia area and attended Arcadia schools.
Florence married James Sharp on July 4, 1937 in Carthage, Mo. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1981. She worked for Otto’s Cafe for 30 years.
Florence was a member of the Church of God Holiness Church in Pittsburg.
Survivors include two sons - Ronnie Sharp of Virginia Beach, VA and Jimmy Sharp of Portsmouth, VA; 2 daughters Linda Geren of Pittsburg and Joan McCabe of Frontenac; 18 grandchildren and numerous Great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-Dennis and William West and eight sisters Myrtle Eagleton, Mable Eagleton Thelma Lee Eagleton, Frances Graham, Grace Clarkson, Bertha Gregory, Opal Martin and Bess Salina.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday September 8, 2008 at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, KS with Rod Perez officiating.  The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home around 9:30 a.m.  Friends may call the funeral home after noon on Sunday.  Condolences can be sent to www.bathnaylor.com  Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
