Edwin Eugene Little, 80, of Kirbyville, Missouri passed away Friday, October 30, 2009.
He was born August 26, 1929 in Stark, Kansas, the son of Raymond and Elsie Little. He grew up farming in Kansas and was drafted by the Army in 1951, serving in the Korean War until honorably discharged in 1953.
Ed married Lois McDermed, also from Kansas, March 12, 1952. They had celebrated 57 years together this past spring. Ed and Lois were blessed with five children — Janice Little Bunch of San Antonio, Texas, Judy Little of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan Little Munro of Liberty, Missouri, Jim Little of Kirbyville, Missouri and Joyce Little Clemmons of Topeka, Kansas. In addition to Lois and the children, he is survived by one brother, Jerry Ray Little; three sisters, Mary Hand, Nadine Popp and Marge Little, his mother-in-law, Mabel McDermed; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
After leaving the Army, he had a long career in the electrical construction industry working throughout the Midwest until he retired to the Branson area. Ed was a member of the Korean War Veteran’s Association and the American Legion. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson. He loved tractors and was an avid collector and restorer of Minneapolis Moline tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson on Tuesday, November 3 at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Walnut, Kansas cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson.
