James (Jim) N. Story, 99 of Pittsburg died 9:15 a.m. Tuesday January 31, 2012 at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.

He was born May 20, 1912 in Goodman, MO the son of Jasper and May (Milligan) Story.  Jim moved to Pittsburg in 1924 and had been a resident since that time.

Jim married Eunice Schmidt on March 22, 1935 in Pittsburg, KS; she preceded him in death on January 16, 2005.

He worked 30 years for Kansas City Southern Railroad as a car man retiring in 1972.

Jim was a lifelong member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg, the Brotherhood Railway Car man Association, a Nazarene Church board member, church trustee and taught Sunday school.

Survivors include two daughters Jean Ann Hurst and husband Jack of Dallas, TX, Jolene Hartman and husband Ernie of Tulsa, OK; a sister Dolores Campbell of Wichita,; 3 Grandchildren Ken Hurst, Jeff Hartman and Jennifer Hartman; 4 Great-grandchildren Amanda Hurst, Kaylee Hartman, Rachel Hartman and Story Hartman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers Jack, George and Lem Story.  8 sisters Betty Toney, Marie Graff, Lula Eads, Mable Throne, Paralee Biggs, Jennie Thomas, Amy Belew and Dena Blancett.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg with Reverend Jim Sukraw officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg where friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday.  Condolences can be sent to www.bathnaylor.com  Memorial contributions can be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.  Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
