James Louis Brisbin, 89, a Veteran of World War II, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 14th. He was born on August 4th, 1922 in Greenbush Kansas. He was proceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores (Dee Dee), a daughter, Diana Brisbin, a granddaughter, Theresa Brisbin and a grandson, Jeffery Simpson.

He is survived by four sons, Jim Brisbin(Vicky), Cherokee KS, Pete Brisbin(Sherry), Pleasant Hill MO, John Brisbin(Lisa), Bates City MO, and Daniel Brisbin Independence MO, five daughters, Kathy Sims Grain Valley MO., Judy Wilkerson (Larry), Lee’s Summit MO, Debbie Brisbin, Independence MO, Jeanne Boston (Robert) Kansas City MO and Carol Simpson (Jeff), Blue Springs MO, 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brisbin served his Country during WWII in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the Fame Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, The Good Conduct Medal, Marksmanship and the World War II Victory Medal. He married the love of his life, Delores on October 11, 1946.

He was a proud, courageous, man who made everyone laugh and always had time to stop and help anyone who needed him. He loved the Lord with all his heart and taught his ten children to do the same. Thanks dad for all the memories.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 18, 2012 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir with Pastor Jamie Tickel officiating.  Burial will follow at the Cherokee County Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 17 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home.  Condolence may be sent to www.bathnaylor.com.   Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS.
