Emil J. Williams, age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 1st, 2008, surrounded by his family.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was born in Burgess, Missouri on October 31st, 1919. He grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was a 1936 graduate of Pittsburg High School. He achieved rank of 1st Lieutenant while serving in WWII. On September 1, 1948 he married Frances Miceli. He then moved his family to Kansas City in 1960 where he worked at Ford Motor Company from 1959 until he retired in 1985. He then devoted all of his past time to his wife, three daughters and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed everyday of our lives. We all love you dearly, and will always cherish your memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Angelo Williams; his sisters Mary Evans and Maxine Alumbaugh; his son-in-law Joseph Arnone.
He is survived by his wife Frances of the home; three daughters; Debbie Arnone, Angie & Frank Carella, and Linda Mathieson; eight grandchildren; Michelle & Cole Young, Melinda & Todd Romero; Christina Arnone, Frank & Molly Carella, Nicole Carella, Anthony Carella, Joe Williams, Michela Mathieson; sister-in-law Tina Albers; brother-in-law Dean Alumbaugh, and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday October 4th at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac with Father Robert McElwee officiating burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday. The pallbearers for the service are Frank Carella, Anthony Carella, Joe Williams, John Evans, Bob Evans, Jason Hipfl.
