Robert T. Snow, 76, of Pittsburg, died at 2:02 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012, in his home.
Mr. Snow was born March 5, 1936, at Cherokee, Kan., the son of Robert E. and Irene A. Ruby Snow. Bob was retired maintenance supervisor at Columbus schools. He was raised in Cherokee and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1953. He also attended Pittsburg State University. He also worked for Meadow Gold Milk, B.F.
Goodrich in Miami, and Watco. He married Virginia Palumbo on October 20, 1956, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon. Mrs. Snow survives in the home. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; a daughter, Michelle (Bart) Maransani of Arma; three sons, Kenny (Sherri) Snow of Lousville, Ken., Brad (Tara) Snow of Pittsburg, and Mike (Jenny) Snow of Frontenac; a sister, Mae Rati of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Bill Snow of Carl Junction, Mo., Charlie Snow of Girard, and Wayne Snow of Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren, Aaron Snow, Maggie Snow, Morgan Maransani, Annie Snow, Mallory Snow and Carter Snow, and a step-grandchild, Sarah Chubbuck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Michael Baldwin and Father Robert McElwee as the celebrants. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where the family will receive friends until 8 p.m.
Friends may call 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, PO Box 621, Arma, KS 66712.
