Joan Price Robinson, 84, of Washington DC, passed away on October 29, 2009 at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Bethesda, MD.
She was born in Scammon, Kansas to Pat and Nora Price and spent her childhood on the Price farm. She taught at the Scammon elementary school until her marriage. In 1949 she married James L. Robinson of Columbus, KS. In 1964 they moved to Washington DC. Joan was a housewife and raised four children. She was very active in the local school and church and was the head usher of the church for a number of years. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening, flower arrangement, drawing and sewing. Her husband of 42 years, Jim Robinson died in 1991. She is survived by her 4 children and 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor Florio of Frontenac, KAN., and her twin sister June Naccarato of Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services are to be held 11 a.m., November 7, 2009 at St. Ann’s Church in Washington DC.
