Wilma I. Willauer, 95, of Lake Wales, FL, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away at 4:14 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Dove Healthcare in Lake Wales, FL.
She was born April 19, 1914 at Pittsburg, to Ralph Francis and Reta Mae (Neptune) Burger. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School.
On October 21, 1936, she was united in marriage to Francis L. Willauer, Sr. at Concordia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2003.
Mrs. Willauer was a homemaker and a loving grandmother.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Five Mary’s Circle in Pittsburg.
Survivors include a son, Francis L. “Fran” Willauer, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Lake Wales, FL; a sister, Virginia Schulte of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a very close knit extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A few will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday (Nov. 10) at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Monday. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg.
