Stanley W. “Stan” Dillinger, 60, of McCune, died at 10:10 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born June 4, 1952, in Parsons, Kansas, to Wayne and Eilene (Allen) Dillinger.  He attended West Mineral Elementary School and was a 1970 graduate of Southeast High School.

Through the years, he had worked at Brown Oil and Tire, Montgomery Ward and the Katy Railroad.  For the past 22 years he had been employed by Taylor Products in Parsons where he worked as a metal fabricator.

He enjoyed model railroading and motorcycles and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Katy Railroad Historical Society.
He and Connie Preston were married June 18, 1977, at the Friendship Church in Hallowell, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include:

Three Daughters – Mindy Hernandez and her husband, Chris, Shawnee, KS. Amanda Ball and her husband, Jason, McCune, KS. Ashley Dillinger and Ray Edwards, McCune, KS. Seven Grandchildren, parents – Wayne and Eilene Dillinger, Scammon, KS, one sister – Judy Hastings, Parsons, KS. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012, at McCune Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
