Bertha L. Beckwith born to Albert C. Woodward and Mary (LaBranche) Woodward on June 19, 1950 in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Passed away on Thursday December 6, 2012 after a courageous battle of five years with a rare form of cancer for which there is no treatment.  

After graduating high school in Watertown, Ct. she became and LPN and as such worked for more than 35 years in a number of nursing situations.  Her last years were spent caring for terminal children with rare diseases for which she gave her heart and soul.  

She is survived by the love of her life, her loving husband, George S. Beckwith of their home in Goodman, MO.  She leaves two sons, Howard Chappuis and wife Michele of Wheaton, MO., Franek (Chuck) Linkovich of Oronogo, MO., one daughter, Wendy Justice and husband Dave, Weir, KS.  Three grandchildren Ethan and Eli Chappuis of Wheaton, MO. and one granddaughter Robyn Nabors of Weir, KS.  Her family was her life.

There are no services planned per her wishes.
