Evelyn Naccarato, 86, of Weir, KS died at 12:55pm on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born in Mulberry, KS on March 31st, 1926 to Paul and Amelia (Hacin) Poznich.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1944 graduate of Weir High School.  On July 8th, 1946 she was married to Alex Naccarato of Cherokee, KS.  He preceded her in death on March 27th 1980.  Evelyn was a homemaker, a member of the St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, KS.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, playing cards and Scrabble, and taking care of her pets.  She was the pillar of her family who always had a fresh pot of coffee and a shoulder to lean on.

She is survived by brother George Poznich and wife Bonnie of Houston, TX; children Cheryl Furman and husband Roger of Fountain Hills, AZ; Judy Tilley and husband Rob of Carl Junction, MO; Mark Naccarato and wife Debra of Carl Junction, MO; Alexis Naccarato of Dallas, TX; and Alene Jones of Leavenworth, KS.  Surviving grandchildren are Paula Gilmore and husband Richard, Todd Roach, Chris, Alexander and Edward Naccarato; great-grandchildren Nichole Unsell and husband Tyler, Olivia, Regan,  and Alexander Gilmore and Jayden; great-great grandson Jack Unsell.  She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband and by her brothers Paul and John Poznich.  
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS.  The family will receive friends following the rosary.

Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m.  Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, KS with Fr. Chrysostom Ay Maung as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Friends may call the funeral home after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the St Bridget’s Catholic Church.  Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104 W. Main St. Weir, KS 66781.  Email condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.  Arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Weir, KS.
