PITTSBURG —
Dorothy A. Bolte, 95 of Pittsburg died at 8:14 p.m. Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
She was born December 24, 1917 in Sherwin, KS the daughter of Ollie A. and Clara (Shutt) Mead. She lived in the Pittsburg area her entire life.
Dorothy married Andrew Bolte on December 24, 1941 in Weir, KS; he preceded her in death on February 2, 1981.
She worked for many years as a sales clerk for the Toy Town Store. She was a member of the Church of God and the LWWA (Ladies Willing Workers Association) of the church.
Survivors include a son Reverend Richard L. Bolte of Hattiesburg, MS; 2 brothers Harold L. Mead and Charles D. Mead a sister Eleanor Lair; 2 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael R. Bolte and a brother Joe D. Mead.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday January 19, 2013 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend Daryl Gaddy and Reverend John Smithson officiating, burial will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
