Debra was placed into the hands of our Lord on Thursday November 8, 2012 at 4:43 p.m. at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO.
She was born December 1, 1956 in Gary, IN, the daughter of Tim and Helen (Fraze) Pointer. She has been a resident of the Weir area since the 1970’s.
Debra was a homemaker and also worked at National Mills as a “tager”.
Survivors include her husband Jerald of the home; a daughter Stefanie Mason also of the home; a son Corey Robinson of Girard; 2 brothers Kelly Pointer and wife Teresa of Demotte, IN, Don Ray Pointer and wife Janis of Hobary, IN; 7 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Crystal Teague, 2 brothers Kenneth Lee and Gary Gene Pointer, 2 daughters Patricia Lue and Jesse James Pointer.
Debra loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an avid card sender, always remembering a birthday or a special occasion. She will be in our heart forever and sorely missed by all who knew her.
According to her wishes Debra has been taken for cremation. No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be at a late date in the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104 W. Main St. Weir, KS.
