Sherri Callahan Collier, 38, of Arma died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Neodesha, Kansas.
Sherri was born October 5, 1971 at Creston, Iowa the daughter of Mike and Linda Anderson Callahan. She was systems operator for Heartland Rural Electric in Girard. Sherri was raised in Fredonia and graduated from Salina High School in 1990. She moved to Arma in 1999. She was a member of the Regulators at Arma. Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie “Skeeter” Collier of Arma and Earon L. Babcock of Chanute, one son, Robert MN. Triebel of Arma, her father, Mike Callahan of Salina, her mother, Linda Currier of Mulberry, five sisters, Kris Haynes of Parsons, Debora VanFossen of Neodesha, Tricia O’Neil of California, LaTricia Callahan of Salina, and Kim Vargas of Salina, and two brothers, Phillip Callahan of Salina and Eric Callahan of Kansas City, Kansas, and her maternal grandmother, June Anderson of Sharpsburg, Iowa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Glass.
According to her wishes Sherri has been cremated.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with Rev. Dave Cheshier officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Chapel prior to the memorial services. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Sherri Collier Scholarship Fund at Northeast High School at Arma. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
