James E. O’Banion, 59 of Weir, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. He was born July 21, 1952 in Jackson, Missouri, the son of Cleo and Dorothy (Akers) O’Banion. James lived most of his life in the southeast Kansas area. James marries Margaret Weir, they were later divorced. She preceded him in death December 5, 2011. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cathy Harrison and husband Jerry of Pittsburg, Kim Chase and husband Jerry of Pittsburg. 3 sons, Tony Weir and wife Eva of Pittsburg, Albert Weir and wife Angela of Mulberry, Terry Weir and Lorrie of Liberal, MO. One sister, Barbara Wilson and one brother, George O’Banion. 13 Grandchildren, and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held next Saturday, July 7, 2012. Arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
