Minnie R. Wettstein, 100, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Medicalodge South Nursing Home.
She was born April 17, 1912 at Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of Daniel and Otilda (Ressler) Renn.
On December 25, 1928, she was united in marriage to Lee E. Wettstein at Columbus, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1996.
She was a Homemaker.
Mrs. Wettstein was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Lee Gene Wettstein and his wife Sandy of Bonaire, GA; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wettstein was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Billy Ray Wettstein; four brothers, Mike, John, Cliff and August Renn; and five sisters, Susie Azamber, Bertha Renn, Emma Dickinson, Olga Reddick, and Dollie Stumfoll.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday (June 22) at the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Tom Wehrman officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorials to the St. John Lutheran Church.
