Lucetta Zinni Hamlet died at home in Sebring, Florida, on June 20, 2012. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 16, 1942, to Louis and Lucetta Izzo Zinni. She spent her early life in Johnston, Rhode Island, and was a graduate of Classical High School in Providence and Annhurst College in Woodstock, CT. She worked as a social worker until her marriage to Peter Hamlet in 1971, and in her later years, as a volunteer for the Guardian Ad Litem program. The remainder of her life was devoted to being a wife and mother to her two children, Eliza Hale and Joshua Hamlet, and raising her grandchild Elijah Hamlet. She was the proud grandmother of Merrit and Thatcher Hale whom she loved dearly. Another major joy in her life was her dogs. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations in her memory be made to the Humane Society. There will be a private memorial service.
