Ashden Elizabeth Kranker, 22, of Stilwell, Kansas died Thursday evening May 15, 2008 at Overland Park due to injuries in an automobile accident.
Ashden was born May 2, 1986 at Springfield, Missouri the daughter of Aaron Michael and Lisa Ann Pahlow Kranker. Ashden was a student who attended classes at Johnson County Community College while taking photography classes. She was raised in Stilwell and attended Stilwell Elementary School. She graduated from Blue Valley High School in 2005. She also worked at On the Border Restaurant in Leawood. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Wea. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Aaron and Ann Kranker of Stilwell, two sisters, Abigail Kranker and Andrea Kranker of the home, two brothers, Adam Kranker of the home and Trenton Kranker of Lamar, Missouri, paternal grandmother, Gay Kranker of Franklin, paternal great-grandmother, Frances Kranker of Franklin, maternal grandmother, Linda Pahlow of Lamar, Missouri, paternal grandfather, J.D. Pahlow of Lamar, Missouri, maternal step-grandparents, Ron and Judy Tincher of Olathe, and maternal step-great-grandmother, Marceline McVey of Garden City, Kansas. Ashden was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa Kranker and her paternal grandfather, Donald Kranker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arma with Father Robert McElwee as the celebrant. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington in Arma where friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday. Rosary will be set at 5 p.m. at the chapel.
The casket will remain closed. The family will be at the home of Gay Kranker, 105 W. 1st Street in Franklin, Kansas. The family suggests memorials to the Franklin Community Center. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, P.O. Box 621, 517 E. Washington, Arma, Kansas 66712.
