Mary Winifred Bennett

Mary Winifred Bennett, age 92, of Hays died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center in Hays, Kansas.
Mary was born April 16, 1916, at Arma, Kansas, to Frank C. and Florence (Wright) Hill.  She married Galen E. Bennett on May 5, 1940 at Phillipsburg, Kansas. He died in 1997. She was a teacher and attended North Oak Community Church in Hays.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Bennett and his wife, Merilee, of Lakewood, Colorado, and Mike Bennett and his wife, Dorothy of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Susan George of Hays; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kermit George; a brother, Albert Hill; and a sister, Bess Windes.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2008, at the North Oak Community Church in Hays.  Memorials have been established with the North Oak Community Church or the American Heart Association, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine who is handling the arrangements.
