John Henry Dugger, 80 of Clinton, MO, formerly of Weir, KS, died at 7:35 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Westwood Golden Living Center in Clinton, MO.
John was born August 1, 1928 in Weir, KS to Henry Howard and Daisy (Bell) Dugger. He attended area schools. He went on to graduate from College with several business degrees.
John served his country in the United States Army. He was an investigator and did work with the search and rescue teams. He retired from the military with the rank of Major. He was honorably discharged.
He married Shirley Williams. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter Joy of the Kansas City area; brothers Harold Dugger of Windsor, MO, Bobby Joe Dugger of Kansas City, MO, Henry H. Dugger, Jr. of Richmond, MO and Grant and Danny Dugger both of Kansas City, MO; sisters Frances and Jean Smith of Warsaw, MO and Connie Sue Dugger of Independence, MO.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard and Bill Dugger and sister Evelyn Dugger.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2008 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St. in Weir, KS with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Pleasant View Cemetery, where full military honors will be given by Ft. Riley Funeral Honor Guard.
