Danny Joe “DJ” Hoag-Foster, 23 of Pittsburg, KS died at 9:40 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
DJ was born May 27, 1985 in Pittsburg, KS to Dennis R. Hoag and Rebecca A. Mitchell. DJ attended area schools, graduating from Pittsburg High School with the class of 2003.
DJ was a Lab Tech, at Superior Industries of Pittsburg, for the last 6 years.
DJ was an avid skateboarder, fisherman, hunter and liked to go to concerts. He liked to work on classic cars. He was a wonderful father and spent quality time with his children, swimming, fishing and walking with the family pet.
DJ recently took the civil service exams and received a high score.
Survivors include his mother and father Rebecca and Charles Foster of Pittsburg, his biological father Dennis Hoag of Pittsburg; fiancé Kayce Johnson of Pittsburg; daughters Kaytlyn Danielle and McKenzie Rae-Lyn Hoag both of the home; a baby boy to be born in August; sister Mercedes Foster of Pittsburg; paternal grandparents James and Judy McCabe of Lowell, AR; paternal grandmother Eva Foster of Scammon, KS; host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
DJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather James Hoag; uncles James D. Hoag, Jr. and Danny Joe Phillips; maternal grandmother Margie Mitchell and paternal grandfather Fred Foster.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, KS with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating.
