Christine K. Solazzo

Christine K. Solazzo, 88, of Arma died at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Arma Care Center at Arma.
Mrs. Solazzo was born September 20, 1919 at Arma the daughter of Clarence A. and Violet Brown Karnes. Christine was a retired executive secretary for Glidden Paint Company in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in Arma and attended Arma Grade School and graduated from West Frankfort, Illinois High School. She lived in Chicago prior to moving to Joplin in 1984 and later to Arma in 1997. Christine married Joseph A. Solazzo on November 15, 1944 in Belleville, Illinois. Mr. Solazzo preceded her in death November 30, 1991. Survivors include one sister, Louise Woodall of Muskogee, Oklahoma, two nephews, James Mitchell Woodall of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and David  Ray Woodall of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a special cousin, Bill Brown and his wife Joan of Springfield, Missouri, and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Solazzo.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 W. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
