Suzanne Patterson

Suzanne Patterson, 80, of Pittsburg, formerly of Perryton, Texas, died at 11:37 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home at Frontenac.

Suzanne was born May 25, 1928, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Mildred Chase Harbaugh. She was a retired school teacher. Suzanne graduated from Canadian High School at Canadian, Texas. She attended Stephens College at Columbia, Missouri, and later attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and received a teaching degree. She taught school at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Pittsburg since 1990. Survivors include two nieces, Suzanne Fowler of Pittsburg and janice Armstrong of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one nephew, Paul Harbaugh of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary Katherine Patterson, a sister, Janice A. Pappas, and a brother, Paul A. Harbaugh.

According to her wishes, Mrs. Patterson has been cremated. Private services will be at a later date. Burial of the cremains will be at Alva, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
