Lois L. (Minor) Hillebert

Funeral services for Lois L. Hillebert, 80, Eudora, Kan., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence.  Burial will follow at Vinland Cemetery, Vinland, Kan.
Mrs. Hillebert died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at her home.
She was born August 4, 1928, in Fair Grove, Mo., the daughter of William T. and Mabel Etta Edson Minor.  She attended schools in Fair Grove.  She lived in Pittsburg from 1969-82, and moved to Eudora in 1983.  She was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church.
She married Joseph W. Hillebert Sr. on Dec. 11, 1952, in Leavenworth.  He died July 20, 2004.
Survivors include eight children, Sadie Ruth Coon, Janee Hillebert, Joan Ellis, John Hillebert, Joseph W. Ward Jr., Roy Hillebert, and Lora Victoria Hillebert, all of Eudora, and Marilyn Smardo, Franklin, Kan.; 33 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and four on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, a son, Bruce French, and two step-sons, Danny Hillebert and Teddy Hillebert.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, or the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society, in care of the funeral home.
