Esther Louise Pearson Segebartt, 92, of Hepler, Kansas died at 4:10 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her home at rural Hepler.
She was born September 3, 1919 at rural Farlington, Kansas, a daughter of Emil H. and Ida L. (Zimmerman) Pearson. She grew up in rural Farlington and attended Fairview School and graduated from Hepler High School.
She married William Paul Segebartt on July 26, 1940 in Parsons, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2011.
She enjoyed being an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hepler; cooking for her family and friends, sewing, and gardening.
Survivors are sons John Segebartt of Hepler and Bill Segebartt of Hepler and his fiancé Cheryl Hay of Orange County, California; daughters LaVera Moomey and husband Lyle of Hepler and Juanita Eitel and husband Gary of Hepler; grandchildren are Rosanna Zeismer and husband Ronald, Douglas Moomey, Rick Eitel, Connie Veal and husband Steve, Bob Eitel and wife Julie, Karen Medcalf, Jeff Eitel and wife Brenda, LaToyia Forester and husband Ryan, Robert Johnson and wife Lisa, Matt Johnson and wife Nikki, Sherry Steptoe and husband Larry, Andrew Jahn and wife Marlena, Caleb Jahn and wife Codi, David Jahn and wife Eunice, and Rachel Morris and husband Marcus andCaitlin Bedsworth; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ivan Pearson of Fort Scott.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Segebartt, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Segebartt; a sister, Rose Stark, and brothers Fred Pearson, Leslie Pearson, Ernest Pearson, Neil Pearson, and Chester Pearson.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Pastor Travis Forde officiating. Burial will be in the Farlington Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Sunday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
