Jack R. Davidson, 53, of Pleasanton, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 near Butler, Missouri due to injuries received in an automobile accident.
Jack was born October 22, 1954 at Pittsburg the son of Max and Pauline McClarrinon Davidson. He was a foreman for List & Clark Construction at LaCygne, Kansas. Jack was raised in Arcadia and attended Arcadia Grade School. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1972. He moved to Pleasanton in 1986. He married Voneta Davidson on February 2, 2001 at Miami, Oklahoma. Mrs. Davidson survives at the home. He was a member of the Operating & Engineers Local Union #101. Survivors include his wife, Voneta of the home, four children, Wayne Davidson of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Amy Thorn of Carthage, Missouri, Jamie Everett of New Palestine, Indiana, and Janelle Courtois of Pleasanton, Kansas, his parents, Max and Pauline Davidson of Liberal, Missouri, one brother, Jim Davidson of Arma, two sisters, Sandy Wheeler of Girard and Cheryl Budd of Liberal, Missouri, ten grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with Rev. Wade Booth and Pastor Roy Widmar officiating. Burial will be in the Old Arcadia Cemetery near Arcadia. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma. The family suggests memorials to the Pleasanton High School Booster Club. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
