Joe Torchia

Joe Torchia, 93, of Spring Hill passed away July 1, 2009 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday July 6, 2009 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS with burial at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas. 
He was born April 12, 1916 and lived in Pittsburg Kansas until April 2003 when he moved to Spring Hill, Kansas.
Joe was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army.  Joe was a member of the American Legion and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Olathe, KS.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jewell Delores Torchia; son, Michael Torchia and wife Debbie of Bartlesville OK; son, Frank Torchia and wife Clara of Spring Hill KS; and sister, Dorothy Tomaselli and Four grandchildren, Danny Torchia, Christy Torchia, Joey Torchia, and Jeff (Jill) Torchia. Six great-grandchildren, Garrett, Joshua, Kyle, Logan, Nathan and Emma.
