ARCADIA —

Charles Henry Albert Pfaff, 72 of Arcadia, KS, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born September 29, 1936 in Chicago, IL the son of Perry and Hazel Pfaff.
He entered the US Navy on July 2, 1954 and was honorably discharged on September 24, 1957.
In 1967 he was united in marriage to Janice Faye Hawn, they later divorced.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Pittsburg.
Charles was a Union Carpenter.
Survivors include a son Charles Sherman Pfaff of Phoenix, AZ a daughter Kristine Caruthers of Arcadia, KS; 3 step-children Kenneth Carden of Phoenix, AZ, Laura Owens of Arma, Greg Carden of Wichita; 3 grandchildren Cole Pfaff and, Colby Caruthers both of Arcadia and Kayla Pfaff of Phoenix as well as eight other grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. on Friday July 10, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints with Bishop Corin Wilde officiating.  Burial will be at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday evening.  Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.  Flag folding and military rites will be given by the Ft. Scott V.F.W.  Services are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS.
