Genevive Josephine “Jennie” Creighton, 100, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Oakview Estates.
She was born to James R. and Sarah Angeline (Brittain) Goodman on June 28, 1912 on a ranch outside of White City, Kansas near the Santa Fe Trail. She was in the nursing program at Manhattan College, now Kansas State University.
In 1936, she met and married James Donald Creighton and they had two daughters, Judith and Carolyn.
Jennie managed a bakery and worked at the old Mt. Carmel Hospital. During the war, she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith Morey Chapman of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Carolyn Solera.
