Phyllis Ann Bolejack, 76, of Arma, died at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Mo., after a month stay in the hospital.
Mrs. Bolejack was born Oct. 16, 1936, at Independence, Kan., the daughter of Herman E. and Mildred Vista Steele Taylor. Phyllis was a homemaker who was raised in Independence and Cherryvale. She graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1955. She had been a resident of Arma for the past 30 years. She married Harold Eugene Bolejack on March 10, 1956, at Coffeyville, Kan. Mr. Bolejack preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2012. Phyllis was a member of the Southeast Kansas Humane Society. Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Moss of Arma; two sons, Mark Bolejack of Granola, Kan., and Todd Bolejack of Arma; a sister, Marlene Merchant of Parsons, Kan.; a brother, David Taylor of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Paul and John W. Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call 1-6 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel at Arma. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, KS 66712.
