Elizabeth A. Britz, 76, of Pittsburg, KS, died at 6:09 am, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS.
She was born April 28, 1936 in Norfolk, VA the daughter of Walton E. and Veronica Marsteller Partridge. She had been a Pittsburg resident for 2 years.
Mrs. Britz was graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School and DePaul School of Nursing.
She married Dominick D. Britz on October 29, 1968 in Newport, RI. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2002.
Mrs. Britz worked as a Registered Nurse at various nursing homes and hospitals in Rhode Island, Florida and New Jersey.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg and the Pittsburg Family YMCA.
Survivors include two daughters Eva McCaully of Trappe, PA and Joanne Britz of Pittsburg, KS; two step-sons Joseph Britz of Newark, Delaware and Leonard Britz of Baltimore, Maryland; one sister Veronica Ware of Norfolk, Virginia and one grandchild Shannon McCaully.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Margaret Meloy Mitchell, one step-son David Britz and one sister Lucy Kunzman.
Services will be in the summer of 2013 in Virginia. Arrangements are by the Midland Cremation Society, 1515 W. 10th St. in Joplin, MO 64801.
