Kathryn Eunice (Beecher) Clugston, 97, of Pittsburg died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.

Kathryn was born August 8, 1915 at Pittsburg, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Kettler) Beecher. She attended Pittsburg schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School.

In September 1939, she was united in marriage to Frank S. Clugston at Webb City, Missouri. They lived most of their lives in Washington State, and moved back to Pittsburg in 1981. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1999.

Kathryn worked for General Electric and Rockwell International as a Lab Technologist for 26 years in Richland, Washington.

Kathryn was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, and four sisters, Phyllis Cowen, Helen Martina, Mildred Meals, and Lorraine E. Schooley.

A Memorial Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, (Feb. 14) at the Highland Park Cemetery with Dr. J. Dean McNamara officiating. Burial will follow the services. Mrs. Clugston has been cremated. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
