PARSONS —
Joyce Marie Horton, 45, of Parsons, Kansas, died at 4:20 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Freeman West Health System in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born June 15, 1967 in Girard, a daughter of Gary, Sr., and Marsha (Collins) Horton.
Survivors include her parents of Girard; a brother, Gary Horton, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Farlington, Kansas; a sister, Marilyn Jergens and her husband Brian of San Antonio, Texas; her nieces and nephews Brian C. Jergens and his wife Jennifer, Josh Best-Horton, Darcy Jergens, Gary K. Horton, III, Daniel Horton, and Ashley Horton; her great-nephew Brayson Jergens; and her family at CLASS on Kay Lane in Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Hadley and Hattie Horton, David and Darlene Collins, and Dale and Elaine Beeman; and a beloved great-aunt Edna Compton.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Rev. Doug Amend officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from
6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home where friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Monday.
