John E. Baloh 81, of Arma, KS passed away 9:45am Thursday January 31, 2013 at his home following a short illness.  

John was born March 15, 1931 in Cockeril, KS the son of John and Ann (Domescik) Baloh.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a Graduate of Arma High School in 1949.  John was a retired Veteran of the Army serving his country in the Korean War earning a Purple Heart.  His travels in the military took him around the world from Europe to North Africa during his 21 years of service.  After the service he came home to Arma, KS and worked as an Electronic and Gardening Manager for Wal-Mart in Pittsburg, KS for 18 years.

John was of the Christian Faith; was an avid gardener, fisherman, enjoyed traveling, wood working, music and most of all his coffee on the front porch in the morning.  

Survivors include the love of his life for 34 years Diana Moyer of the home; son Keith Baloh of Arma, KS; siblings Carolyn Kavcich of Girard, KS and Glenn Baloh and wife Rosemary of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren Angel and John Lee; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Florence Baloh, son Kenneth Lee Baloh and numerous uncles and aunts.  

Per John’s wishes private ceremonies will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
