Richard Dean Hoofnagle, age 74, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence in Pharr, TX.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Juan.  Richard served in the United States Air Force.  He was retired from Teledyne Neosho.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Brent Hoofnagle.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Thomas Hoofnagle, who he married in 1961; one son, Brad Hoofnagle of Carthage, MO; a granddaughter, Brandi Hoofnagle of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Shirley Evans of Carthage, MO; and by one brother, Russell Hoofnagle of Flippin, AR.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, with Wayne Rose officiating.
His ashes will be laid to rest with his sons at Stone Cemetery, 16475 Apple Road in Joplin, MO, under the personal care and direction of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, MO.
