Robert Dale Berryman, 85, of Pittsburg, died at 3 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan.

Mr. Berryman  was born Feb. 19, 1925, at St. Louis, Mo., the son of Roy J. and Vera C. Prosser Berryman. Robert was a retired brakeman for the Kansas City Southern Railroad.

He was raised in Pittsburg, Nevada, and Batesville, Ark. He graduated from Batesville, Ark., High School. He later attended Kansas State University fo three years. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Pittsburg, the NRA, Chairman of the Circle Officers Club, and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Highland Park Cemetery at Pittsburg with Pastor Fred Schmid officiating.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma.

Donations suggested to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Pittsburg. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, KS 66712
