Janice K. Dietz (Trujillo) left this world of pain and began her journey home on Saturday, February 7, 2009.
Janice was born in February 8, 1944 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Wilma Dietz.
Surviving is a daughter, Kim Spence and her husband Michael of Branson, MO; a son, Bryan Hudson and his wife Rachel and a son, Doug Huston and his wife Sara, all north of Joplin; a special friend and companion, Noble Rose of Joplin, MO. Also surviving are five grandchildren; the love of her life and reasons for living, including four granddaughters, Laci, Haley, Allison and Kassidi Hudson; one grandson, Seth Hudson. Additional survivors include her mother, Wilma Dietz, two sisters, Mary Rogers and her husband Ken,, Virginia Falcetto and husband Gary; four brothers including Gerald Dietz and his wife Judy, Darrel Dietz and his wife Saundra, Thomas Dietz and his wife Audrey and Curtis Dietz and his wife Sharon. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dietz.
Funeral services will be at the 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel. Reverend Gary Thomas will officiate. A brief graveside service will be held at Crocker Cemetery located on Highway 57 south of Pittsburg, following services.
The family will receive friend 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Janice to Freeman Cancer Institute, The American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & chapel.
