To the editor:
I would like to tell you about my personal experience with our county attorney, Mike Gayoso. My daughter has had a very difficult time with her ex-husband, a typical dead-beat dad. He has systematically refused to obey the court’s orders to help support their daughter, my oldest granddaughter. For several years now, we tried to get some help, locally and even on the state level, but no one seemed to care about my daughter’s situation. Finally, just a few weeks ago, I contacted Mr. Gayoso’s office and left a message detailing my frustration. Imagine my surprise when I got an almost immediate reply, and further amazement when he took the time to walk us through the steps we needed to take to finally get some action. As I write this, we now have a course of action in place that will finally get something done about this unpleasant situation. I don’t normally involve myself in politics, but I thought your readers would want to know that in my personal dealings with Mr. Gayoso, I found him to be very efficient, knowledgeable and professional. His attentiveness to our situation was truly outstanding. If our experience is typical of his office’s handling of crimes in our area, then Crawford County should be proud to have Mike Gayoso as their County Attorney.
