Dear Editor
Who was the un-named KBI agent who was “attacked by a vicious dog”? Why did it take six days for them to come up with “a story” to put in the paper? Why couldn’t the KBI be reached for comment? Why wasn’t the agent’s picture shown in the paper and several articles and an editorial written about him? Why didn’t KOAM TV even mention it at all on their newscasts or go out on the agents’ job to take pictures of him and make a big issue of it? Why didn’t KOAM TV run their interactive question to whether the public thought the agent was justified in shooting the dog? Will the sheriff and county attorney file misdemeanor and felony charges for discharging a firearm in the city of Mulberry and killing the dog? If the dog was “so vicious”, why was the agent who fell through the rotted floor the only one treated for “minor injuries”? Where are the outraged “Letters to the Editor” from the Humane Society on this dog being shot?
The mayor of McCune has been to court four times already and has two more times to go, including a jury trial. No wonder Gayoso doesn’t have the money to prosecute bad checks with his almost $436,000 budget. He’s too busy trying to hang someone who was only trying to protect the people of his community because law enforcement wouldn’t. What an injustice in our so called justice system of nothing but dirty politics as usual.
