To the editor,
Thanks to the Morning Sun for the lead editorial on Friday, Oct. 5, by Jared Olar.  This man’s statement on Big Abortion was entitled, “What’s really at stake Nov. 6?” There were no credentials listed on the author and I’m not familiar with him, but he gave the readers a fair account of what the two sides on abortion had to gain or lose by the outcome of this presidential election.  The use of the word “fair” means that it presented the two points of view of Planned Parenthood vs the Right to Life Movement in an impartial manner, which I found refreshing after enduring the likes of Amy Gehrt, Joy Leeper, John Sullivan, Burdett Loomis, Joseph Aistrup, and others on the hot topics of the forthcoming election.  Could Gatehouse recruit writers who offer views along the lines of George Will, Diana West, or Cal Thomas? These types of opinions would provide a good balance and give the readers a better airing of the issues.

However, getting back to that editorial of Oct. 5, if you remain doubtful as to the power a president exerts over the abortion controversy, re-read that article. He titled it right, because there IS really much at stake Nov. 6.
