Dear editor,
I am not going to state names or times or places as to not disqualify myself as a witness to a current legal case that the county has on its docket. But the former county attorney when in office not only insisted on prosecuting a case with no evidence but heresay, but brought in the attorney general to take over when his office coudn’t get the job done.
The county continues to spend money on a case that can not be won. The judge released the “alledged victims” back to the home because of the overwhelming evidence of eye witnesses, such as me whosaw what happend. I am a registered nurse and I would not turn my head and allow abuse to go on and even so as a Christian, I would protect a victim. The judge prevailed in a bad situation and I have the utmost RESPECT for him. They keep pushing this case back and it has already been 2 years since the alledged incident. I am Thankful for a new county attorney, Michael Gayoso, and I believe that he wouldn’t have let the county waste time and money if he were the prosecotor. I do admire him for going after REAL abuse cases.
